Ever since dual core processors came out, I’ve been thinking about swapping out my Pentium M MCE system in favor of a dual core processor based MCE box. However, I really liked the notion of having a cool running system thanks in large part to the Pentium M processor. However, the folks over at ExtremeTech have come up with an article on building an Athlon 64 X2 based system that seems to be both powerful and cool running. Now that’s pretty sweet. I’m going to have to reconsider building a dual core system one of these days – then again with the advent of the Xbox 360, I might just move my MCE system out of the living room altogether!
