CoverBuddy – control iTunes with your PSP
Here’s a pretty cool software add-on for Apple iTunes – it’s called CoverBuddy and it basically presents a whole new way of organizing your album collections under iTunes. Instead of browsing your music via artists, albums, and track titles, CoverBuddy works with iTunes to present album covers to the user. You can retrieve covers from online sites such as Amazon and then drag the cover to iTunes to make it part of your collection. CoverBuddy also adds a web server interface which means you can control iTunes via any device that has Wi-Fi capability – including the Sony PSP.
What’s funny about all of this is – CoverBuddy is essentially taking something that is fairly popular under Windows Media Center and making it available for iTunes – the ability to see your music collection via Album covers. It seems like a neat piece of shareware to try out. Unfortunately it is only available for the Mac OSX at this point.
