Hauppauge Digital has released a new TV tuner card called the WinTV Nova-s designed to receive and decode free-to-air digital television and radio stations in the UK. With the WinTV Nova-s. you can now watch digital TV broadcasts directly on your PC in a resizeable window. The card is suitable for DVB data services such as Internet via Satellite. How does that work? You connect to an ISP via a slow connection such as dialup and send outbound requests via that method. Return data is sent over the digital satellite signal back to your computer for high speed downloads.

More importantly, the WinTV Nova-s supports the Freesat service which is basically the satellite version of the Freeview service in the UK. The card will be compatible with Windows Media Center systems.
