DAPreview has some information from Gizmodo on what could be the next version of the Dell DJ here. It appears that the new version will have a large hard disk probably around the size of 60GB. There’s still a scroll wheel for menu navigation, and a dedicated set of playback controls. It’s not clear whether the new DJ will have a color screen or not at this time. The real interesting feature is the supposed support for XM Satellite Audio. However, the report states that the player does not have a built in receiver which would mean you would have to somehow sync music from a receiver somewhere (probably on your PC) to your Dell DJ. If that really is the case, then it’s a bummer since the DJ would still be nothing more than a glorified MP3 player.
