AMD slips past Intel in retail market
AMD shipped more processors to the U.S. retail PC market than Intel this past October according to a study performed by research firm Current Analysis. Intel still ships more processors worldwide than AMD but this is yet another piece of evidence as to AMD’s ability to chip away at Intel’s dominance. Intel is still the overall bread winner as it takes in more revenue per processor than AMD does.
