Fujitsu to help S3 with graphics production
Not sure if anyone really cares but S3 has announced that Fujitsu will aid in manufacturing S3′s latest Chrome processors. Fujistu will manufacture the chips using a 90 nm manufacturing process out of their Mie, Japan facility. Why let Fujitsu do this? It seems that Fujitsu is getting a 75% percent improvement over S3 manufacturing. Via’s S3 is ranked fourth among graphics chip manufactures lagging Intel, NVIDIA, and ATI.
