Sony is introducing a new line of Compact Flash cards called the Compact Vault line. One of the first CF cards with this new branding scheme is a a 5GB CF Type II card that can store up to 1600 3MB sized files or 4 hours of MPEG4 recordings. A 5GB CF card is nothing incredible here since there are 12 GB CF cards out on the market. Other features for the new Compact Vault line include a transfer rate of 96.7 Mbit/sec and a 1 inch hard disk size.
