Sony has unveiled their new HS series of LCD displays. There are two models initially – a 17 inch model (HS75D) and a 19 inch model (HS95D). Both screens offer analog as well as digital connectors so users with DVI interface video cards can opt to use that when connecting to the LCD screen. Both the 17 and the 19 inch model offer 1280 x 1024 resolutions with the 17 inch model delivering a 600:1 contrast ratio and the 19 inch delivering a 700:1 contrast ratio. The monitors also feature 8 ms response times which should be fine for most multimedia applications.
