InfoSyncWorld reviews the new Sony Ericsson W550 Walkman phone here. The W550 is Europe’s second Walkman headset from Sony Ericsson and measures 93 x 47 x 23 mm while weighing 99grams. It comes with a 1.8 inch 262K color display with a resolution of 176 x 220. The main draw of the W550 is the music support but unfortunately it’s a bit lacking here. The W550 has only 256 MB of memory on board which means it can only store a little under 100 songs. The verdict from InfoSyncWorld?
The Sony Ericsson W550 is obviously an all-round handset, aiming to provide a well-rounded feature set including a 1.3 megapixel camera and 256 MB of storage whilst also incorporating relatively innovative features such as a Walkman branded music player and landscape mode gaming. The lack of a means of memory expansion is disappointing, but all in all, the Sony Ericsson W550 stands out as the most capable handset available in the crowded mid-range at the time of writing.
Hmm.. sounds like they didn’t want to bad mouth the phone too much if you ask me.
