LaCie is introducing a new line of ultra portable hard drives it calls the LaCie Carte Orange. How small are these drives? How about credit card sized? The drives are roughly 6 mm thick and come in a durable metal design. You use USB 2.0 to connect the drives to your computer systems and they don’t require any driver installs on Windows 2000/XP and the Mac OS X. LaCie is offering preorders for the 8GB and the 4GB drive. The 8GB goes for $149.99 while the 4GB goes for $99.99.
