Saw this note over at eHomeUpgrade.com – it looks like TiVo is rolling out version 7.2.1 of their system software which offers some new features – one of which is the Network Overlap Protection feature. What exactly is this you might ask? More and more networks are starting shows either earlier or later now – which may overlap into the start and end times of other shows. This easily causes havoc for people who want to record shows on TiVo that are back to back but on different networks. TiVo will now try and record both shows at the same time if they happen to overlap and will give priority to the shows based on the Season Pass priorities.
