Dell’s got a new Media Center laptop for you in the form of the Dell XPS M140. This is the second addition to the XPS line of laptops and it comes with a nice 14.1 inch widescreen display and a fast 2.13GHz Intel Pentium M processor. On top of this, you’ll get Microsoft’s Windows Media Center OS with the machine. Couple the laptop with an external TV tuner and you’ll get a portable DVR system. The laptop starts at $999 and will be available in November. Here are the specs:

- Integrated 10/100 LAN and 56K6 modem

- Up to 2 GB shared7 memory
- Up to 80 GB4 hard drive
- Choice of optical drives including DVD+/-RW8 drives
- Ports include four USB 2.0 ports, one S-Video Out, one IEE1394 port, one ExpressCard Slot, Hi-Def audio support, one 5-1 flash memory card reader.
- Choice of 6 cell (53WHr) Lithium Ion (standard) or 9 cell (80WHr) battery
