Sony announced the new external dual layer dual format DVD burner - the DRX-810UL/T. This drive works for both the Mac and the PC platform and supports 8x DVD+R double layer burning. You get Toast 6 Lite for the Mac and Nero for the PC platform. The drive also supports 4X DVD-R DL, 16X DVD+-R, 8X DVD+RW, 6X DVD-RW, 48X CD-R and 32X CD-RW burning. Connectivity wise, the DRX-810UL/T supports both IEEE1394 and USB 2.0 interfaces.
