Ok I’m jealous. The folks over at TheUnwired.net have gotten a chance to play with the new Samsung SGH-i300 Windows Smartphone here. For those not familiar with the SGH-i300, it’s a candy bar shaped mobile phone currently available in the European market that includes a 3GB internal hard drive. Other cool features include:
- microSD support
- 1.3 megapixel digital camera
- Bluetooth
- 65K, QVGA screen
- Tri-band GSM/GPRS support
Unfortunately it appears the phone uses Windows Mobile 2003 SE and not the current Windows Mobile 5.0 platform. Unwired provides a hardware review as the first part of the overall review of the SGH-i300. If the hardware is anything to go by, the phone looks very promising. Here’s the verdict:
For sure, the i300 is a little bit longer, thicker and heavier than other Windows Mobile Smartphones but the value it has makes it worth – hardware-wise. In addition it looks good, solid and not kittenish.
