If you already forgot what the SC101 is – it’s essentially a network attached device that houses 1 or 2 IDE drives. You can then connect the network drive as if it was actually a local hard drive on your Windows box. Data is protected and mirrored on the SC101 and you get all sorts of security friendly features. The verdict?

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to use, ability to create private and shared volumes
Cons: Windows operating system only, high-powered drives may get very hot due to the lack of fans inside the device
