Elecom’s PLC-2 – copy a CD to SD for MP3 playback
Here’s a nifty set of devices from Elecom that provide you the ability to copy a CD onto an SD card which you can then take and insert into a digital audio player for playback on the road – all this without the need for a PC in the way.
First you have the PLC-2 which looks more like a typical alarm clock system except that it also has a CD player and SD slot inside (and an FM Tuner). Pop a CD and SD card into the unit and then press the Copy button. Your CD tracks will be ripped and copied straight to the SD card.
Now take the SD card and place it into the Elecom PLP-P01 (a portable audio player). You can now listen to your MP3 files while you go about your daily basis. If you want something even smaller and more portable, you can place the miniSD cards into one Elecom’s PLP-H01 headsets and play music back there.
