CamcorderInfo is reporting that Canon has begun shipping its first DVD camcorders here in the US. The two models being shipped in the US are the DC10 and the DC20. What’s unusual is why Canon is not making a public announcement about the new DVD camcorders. The camcorders were originally introduced in August in every country EXCEPT the US. Now that you can actually purchase these camcorders in stores like BestBuy, it’s a bit unusual to see Canon make no public announcement of the actual availability. The DC10 has a 1.33 MP CCD while the DC20 has a 2.2 MP CCD. Check out CamcorderInfo for more information.
