CoolTechZone previews the Logitech mm50 Portable Speakers for iPod here. It seems like everyone is getting into the Apple iPod peripheral business – and why not? The iPod biz is flourishing which means there’s going to be a demand for products that make the iPod even better! What better category than to provide external speakers for the iPod that are also portable. One of the nicer features of the Logitech mm50 is its use of rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries which can last upwards of 10 hours. What does CoolTechZone think of this product?

Ignoring the specifications and features for a minute, the price of the unit is far beyond reasonable. For $149.99, you must really like your iPod and the mobile aspect of the speakers in order to pay a premium.

Ok – so 149 is a bit hefty but have you seen the prices for existing iPod speakers out there? They are cheap either so let’s not get down on Logitech for charging a pretty penny or two.
