Garmin StreetPilot 2720 reviewed
I really thought about adding a GPS Navigation system to my new car two years ago but I just couldn’t justify spending an additional two thousand dollars for something that I wasn’t sure that I would use all that often. Well.. as it turns out, the navigation system would have been fairly useful as getting around Los Angeles can be a pain at times. A possible solution to this is the Garmin StreetPilot 2720 which is currently reviewed at PC Magazine. The 2720 has a very comprehensive feature set for a device that costs approximately $1099. Features include:
* 8-bit color LCD with touch screen
* Voice prompts that actually tell you which street (by name) to turn on (Text-To-Speech) and optional traffic alerts
* Alphanumeric remote control
* Preprogrammed hard drive storage
* Audible and visual navigation instructions and warnings
One of the cooler features of the 2720 is the included remote control which lets you control the GPS device without actually touching it. Here’s PC Mag’s verdict:
It’s hard to find fault with the 2720; an impressive screen, live traffic alerts (optional) and text-to-speech, among many other things, make this a compelling product.
