America Online has announced that it plans on acquiring the blog publishing company Weblogs for a sum total of roughly $25 million dollars. Weblogs is based in Santa Monica, CA and runs a network of 85 blogs that span various topics from television to finance. AOL has been actively expanding its online blog products as it seeks to compete against the likes of Yahoo, Google, and MSN. Check out News.com for more info.
