Motorola has announced that is has signed up Universal Music Group for it’s iRadio subscription service which it is planning to launch during the first quarter of 2006. Universal Music Group owns various labels including Eminem and Mariah Carey and is the first company to make its music available to Motorola’s upcoming new service. The subscription service is expected to cost approximately $7.00 a month and will include hundreds of channels of preprogrammed commercial free music and talk stations that can be downloaded to your computer or mobile phone for playback. It looks like Motorola is also planning a larger capacity phone alongside the iRadio release next year – something that is capable of holding up to 70 hours of music.
