Motorola’s CEO predicts Apple will introduce a smartphone
News.com has an interesting article on Motorola’s CEO Ed Zander here. Zander was quoted saying “Screw the Nano. What the hell does the Nano do? Who listens to 1,000 songs?” at a Silicon Valley gathering on Friday but the quote was supposedly taken out of context. Zander emphasizes during a News.com interview that the two companies had an excellent working relationship. During the interview, Zander then proceeded to mention that he sure that Apple will be releasing a smartphone – “it’s only a matter of time”. A smartphone would indeed be a logical step for Apple.. but would it preceed a video iPod also? Only time will tell.
