Lexar has come out with a new line of secure Compact Flash cards called the LockTight System which aims at protecting your media content for your eyes only. You set up the CF cards using a software application which can restrict the cameras that have read/write access to the card to specific models. In order for a user to access the data, you need to have Lexar’s software application installed and a username/password. Unfortunately only two digital cameras currently support this format - the Nilon D2X and the D2H. However, expect more manufacturers to join the fray if users adopt this in mass.
