If you’re a Yahoo Mail user (and who isn’t?) then you might be interested to know that Yahoo has a beta program up for the new Yahoo Mail system which will be unveiled fairly soon. If you’re not on the beta list, then check out PC Magazine’s review of the new UI. It feels very much like Microsoft Outlook except you’re using a web browser. Here’s the verdict from PC Mag:

Yahoo! makes a huge leap forward with its new user interface. Some issues still need to be ironed out, and we’d like to see Yahoo! better integrate the calendar and contacts list with the mail application, but we’re excited by what we’ve seen so far.

Very nice indeed. I’ve been an avid fan of gmail in recent months but my first webmail experience is still from Yahoo mail. Could this new UI bring me back to Yahoo? just maybe!!!
