TiVo is getting pretty serious about acquiring new subscribers for its services (especially if it’s going to lose DirecTV) and it is now launching the TiVo Ambassador contest. How does it work? Well you need to earn points to enter the contest – 25,000 points that is. You can either get the points by referring up to 5 people to TiVo or you can sign up for a TiVo Platinum Mastercard which will also earn you points on money spent. Once you’ve done this, complete the application and then create a DVD/VHS tape showing why you are the biggest fan of TiVo. You can win a 50K in cash and prizes paid out over a year and you get to evangelize TiVo all around the country.
