New Sony Organic EL MP3 Network Walkman Player
The news has been sparse here at Krunker.com recently since I’ve been on vacation but I did get to take some pictures of a new Sony Network Walkman. I was over in Toronto this past weekend watching the annual NACIVT Volleyball tournament and while I was in town, I hopped over to the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) and saw a small Sony booth featuring the new Sony Organic EL MP3 Network Walkman player. Here’s a quote from the brochure I got from Sony:
Sony’s new organic electroluminescent display only uses enough light to illuminate the pixels you need unlike a backlit display. This means that this incredibly bright display uses less energy for increased battery life from the USB rechargeable InfoLITHIUM battery — up to 50 hours on a full charge! With the OEL display, you can draw any shape, not just alphanumeric, so you can have cool screen savers, time display etc.
Some features from this player include:
* 50 hour battery life on a full USB charge
* 3 minute charge = 3 hour playback; 30 minutes = 80% charge
* jog shuttle for simple control.

There are two lines of MP3 players – the “ear candy” line coming in Midnight Black, Rose Red, Olive Green, and Ocean Blue colors and featuring the:
* NW-E403 – 256MB, 170 songs
* NW-E405 – 512MB, 345 songs – $129.95
* NW-E407 – 1GB, 695 songs – $179.95
and the “Liquid Metal” line coming in Cherry Pink, Azure Blue, and Sparkling Silver colors and featuring the:
* NW-E505 – 512MB, 345 songs – $149.95
* NW-E507 – 1GB, 695 songs – $199.95
