PC Magazine reviews the Robopet - the follow up to last year’s highly successful Robosapien robot from WowWee. The robot dog has no eyes, mouth, nose or ears but it does come with a remote control. Does it compare with the Robosapien robot from last year? Here’s PC Mag’s verdict:

Robopet is another fun WowWee invention that, surprisingly, just misses the mark on design and pricing.

Panasonic has introduced the new Panasonic TH-65PX500 Plasma HDTV set. This is the world’s first 65 inch 1080p plasma screen (which means it’s capable of displaying 1920 x 1080 natively). Panasonic also plans on releasing three new HD plasma televisions in September - the 50 inch TH-50PX50, 42-inch TH-42PX50 and 37-inch TH-37PX50. The new 65 inch will come out in November. Olympus has announced several new digital cameras as well as a new photo printer. The new digital cameras include the following:
* mju DIGITAL 600
The new mju 600 is a 6 MP point and shoot with a 2.5 inch LCD screen and a 3x optical zoom. It has a weatherproof metal body and is available in several colors including Navy Blue, Ruby Red, and Arctic Silver.

* Olympus SP-350
The SP-350 is an 8 MP digital camera with 3x optical zoom and a 2.5inch LCD screen.

* Olympus SP-310
The SP-310 is a 7mp digital camera with the same 3x optical and 2.5inch LCD screen as the 350.

* Olympus P-11 Printer
The new P-11 printer from Olympus is a dye-sublimination printer capable of printing at 310 dpi resolutions. It is capable of printing A6 borderless prints in 33 seconds making it the fastest dye-sublimination printer around.

* Olympus FE-120
The FE-120 is a 6 MP digital camera with 3x optical zoom and a 1.8inch LCD screen. The camera is targeted to the beginner photographer market and will be available from Olympus in September.

If you happened to have missed Sunday service at your local church, there’s a good chance that you might be able to catch your church’s sermon on the net via Podcasting. That’s right folks, Podcasting (or “Godcasting” in church lingo) is catching on in the religious world. There are a number of Godcasting networks out on the net (godcast.org being one of them) that will point you to various sources of podcasts. Enjoy!

KEF introduces a new all in one home theater system called the KEF Instant Theatre KIT200 System. The followup to the KIT100 system includes:
* A remote controllable head feature AM/FM tuner, DVD player, multiple inputs/outputs.
* Head constructed out of die cast zinc and finished in a high gloss black finish
* Comes with 5 satellite speakers featuring KEF’s Uni-Q array
* Comes with a standalone subwoofer featuring a 10″ long throw driver.

Intel announced a new branding campaign for entertainment PC called VIIV (which rhymes with “strive”) at the Intel Developer Forums. After being so very successful with the Centrino branding campaign, Intel has decided to stretch the same notion to multimedia based PCs. Systems with the VIIV logo will be able to handle digital audio, video, and photo functionalities easily. A couple of features in VIIV will be instant startup and shutdown as well as automatic transcoding of audio/video content into something the computer can actually handle. More on this at News.com
