The DRU-810A finally makes DVD burning a worry-free process by supporting all the DVD recordable media types (except DVD-RAM, which is rapidly waning).

and the summary for the 720:

The DRU-720A can be found at an economical price, and does burn DVD+R DL at 4x speeds. It’s also a little faster on single layer media than the new drive.
