Starting today, Gmail users can begin to play with the newest product release from Google - Google Talk. This is of course in beta but the new application allows users to IM with others using the Jabber IM Open Source protocol. The IM client will also deliver voice communications capabilities using audio algorithms that Google developed themselves. Hmm.. big bad Microsoft ? How about big bad Google folks?
