If you use a dedicated headphone amp, they would be a good choice, but that negates much of the portability of an iPod. A better choice would be the less-expensive ER-6i, which is designed around the iPod's frequency response and output characteristics. Also, if you want ever better noise isolation, buy the optional foam eartips. These earphones are superb, but require more output than iPods or similar devices deliver.
