Sony has announced the availability of two new rear projection HDTVs as part of its Grand WEGA line. The new televisions are the 50 inch KDS-R50XBR1 and the 60 inch KDS-R60XBR1. Both models offer similar capabilities including:
* Sony’s Silicon X-tal Reflective Display (SXRD) panels
* 1920 x 1080 resolutions
* Contrast ratios of 5000:1
* CableCARD support

The 50 inch model will cost while the 60 inch model will cost $5K.
