Video Without Boundaries is now offering the MediaREADY 5000 system with Sage TV Media Center Software. Sage TV runs on the Linux platform and provides users with complete media center capabilities such as PVR, Music management, Digital Imaging management, browsing, and email. The MediaREADY 5000 itself looks more like a VCR component than a PC but it’s really housing a VIA CPU, 128MB of RAM, and a 120 GB hard drive. Spec wise, the system is a bit weak for my own tastes but it is running software that is less processor intensive than say a Windows MCE system.
