Apple ending PowerPC based PowerBooks soon?
AppleInsider is reporting that Apple may introduce one final update to the PowerPC based PowerBook line before the end of next month. After that – it’s curtains for the PowerPC PowerBook as the next versions to come out will surely feature an Intel processor – most likely the Pentium M processor. The two new upgrades are believed to be PowerBook 5,8 and PowerBook 5,9. There could be a speed boost and some new features such as increased display resolutions, and new dual channel DDR2 support.
