Two consumer groups – one called “V4400 Consumers’ Power” and the other called “Tipsters for the Public Good” – have filed complaints with the Suwon District Prosecutor’s Office against Samsung Electronics for false advertising of the SPH-V4400 camcorder phone. The complain centers around the quality of the video recording on the SPH-V4400 which Samsung claimed would be similar to digital camcorders when it fact it was not. The complaint also sited the low quality of the MP3 playback capabilities. It’s not surprising to see Samsung get more complaints as they branch out into many more markets. It’ll be interesting to see if they can keep up a high quality of craftsmenship as they grow.
