Dark Vision Hardware reviews the Mio 269 mobile navigation system here. The Mio 269 is a portable GPS handheld device that comes preinstalled with maps of the US, Hawaii, and Canada on its 2.5GB hard drive. Other features include:
* Millions of points of interest; includes AC and car chargers; 5.42 by 2.83 by 1.02 inches (W x H x D)
* Palm-sized GPS navigator with 2.5 GB built-in hard drive and integrated MP3 player
* 32 MB flash ROM and 64 MB SDRAM memory; 3.5-inch color transflective LCD screen
* Turn-by-turn visual and voice guidance; automatically reroutes driver after wrong turn
The verdict?
Currently I give the Mio 269 7/10 but I would give it 9.5/10 if the manufacturer would fix the software bugs. In fact, to be honest, I would even give it a 10 because except for the two battery related issues all the negative points don’t amount too much.
