Olive Media Products has unveiled a new convergence device called the Symphony. It’s a wireless stereo component designed to play back your digital music collection. It’s especially geared towards the high end audiophiles out there that want lossless audio playback of their music collections. You can rip your music collection onto the internal 80GB hard drive into either AIFF, WAV or FLAC formats. There’s an optical output allowing true digital links to your stereo receiver. The unit supports wireless and wired networking that allows multi-room sharing of music content. The system is starting out at $899 and that includes for a limited time the Preload service from Olive which allows customers to have Olive automatically rip and load their entire CD collections onto the Symphony.
