Could the Motorola Q be heading to Verizon?
Smartphone Thoughts is reporting that Motorola will be shipping the Motorola Q for Verizon Wireless in Q1. This info came from an email which also claimed that the Q will be shipping in GSM versions as well as the CDMA versions. I sure wish the phone would come out this year but I suppose I could wait a bit longer for the phone.. or at least hold off getting the Samsung i730.

iTunes phone rumors heat up
So we all know that there’s going to be an iTunes phone from Motorola. The question has been who will sell this phone and when will it be released? Well it looks like Apple has sent out invites to many organizations about an event to be held on Sept. 7th. The invite reads “1,000 songs in your pocket changed everything. Here we go again.” Hmm.. interesting stuff folks. Also, the Wall Street Journal is apparently reporting that Cingular has agreed to carry the phone. In other news, there’s a possibility that Apple will be announcing a new 2 or 4GB iPod shuffle.

Logitech introduces the Office Cordless Desktop
Logitech has introduced a new keyboard mouse combination called the Office Cordless Desktop. What makes this system so unique is the security that is built in and the interference free wireless connectivity that the system supports. Many current wireless keyboard/mouse combos suffer from wireless interference from other combos should they get too close. Case in point - a coworker’s mouse movements may end up being your mouse movements on your display. Logitech developed a unique encrypted 2.4GHz wireless protocol that is very secure from other people’s systems. You can have up to 50 different systems in a 10 x 10 meter space without any problems at all.

Sony DRU-720A and DRU-810A DVD burners reviewed
ExtremeTech reviews two excellent DVD burners in the form of the Sony DRU-720A and DRU-810A here. The newer 810 drive uses technology from BenQ and goes for $119 on the Sony website while the 720 can be found for around 80 to 100 bucks. Here’s the summary for the 810:
The DRU-810A finally makes DVD burning a worry-free process by supporting all the DVD recordable media types (except DVD-RAM, which is rapidly waning).
and the summary for the 720:
The DRU-720A can be found at an economical price, and does burn DVD+R DL at 4x speeds. It’s also a little faster on single layer media than the new drive.
