Here’s another example of a case for the Apple iPod mini - the mini iPouch. It’s essentially a bag with a tie on top that is just big enough for the iPod mini. It comes in a variety of colors and costs $19.99. It’s hard to tell from the pictures whether these cases would do a good job at protecting the iPod from a fall but it’ll keep most dust and scratches away.

Sometimes.. I truly think people have WAYYYY too much time on their hands. Case in point - the Super Maul invention over at OfficeGuns.com. You take everyday office items and turn it in a projectile launching device. The items include:
* Maulys
* Rubber band
* Pencil
* Staple remover
With this “gun” you can easily fire a pencil and penetrate a cardboard box or an aluminum can.

Did you know that the average flush of a urinal consumes nearly three liters of water or one gallon of water every time? What if those three liters were conserved for other purposes? Well a study by Triple Pundit has determined the answer to this question by looking at the possible use of flushless urinals at a campus in San Francisco… and the answers are not surprising. Even if 14 urinals on the campus were replaced with flushless urinals, the campus would achieve savings in both costs and in consumption of water. The key is the flushless urinal which uses special materials that repels urine and also makes cleaning easier than normal urinals.

Bandai has reported that it will sell more than 10,000,000 Tamagotchi Plus units by the end of July. This figure is a combination of the last two newly released versions of the Tamagotchi pet. It’s no small feat what Bandai has done to keep the Tamagotchi popular. One of the reasons the current incarnation is so popular is the IR capabilities built into the pet which allow kids to communicate, play games, and exchange gifts with friends.

PimpRig reviews the Xion Gaming PC ATX Case here. It’s a premodded computer case that performs fairly well - at least according to PimpRig. The verdict?

Overall, the Xion Gaming PC case scores pretty well across the board. With a sleek and sexy side window, it’s sure to catch an eye or two at any LAN party. Considering the hits and misses with this particular case, I hereby award the Xion Gaming PC case 8 Pimp Hats out of a possible 10 which is more than enough to score the PimpRig Approved Award.

Akihabara News has an interesting gadget for security conscious folks - a mouse that locks your PC when you get more than 2 meters from your PC. How does it detect the distance? Well you carry a receiver on you that the mouse detects. Once you get far enough away from the PC, the mouse will lose the signal and automatically lock the PC. Not a bad idea - similar to LoJack for your PC.. However, what happens when you lose the receiver? Does your PC continually lock itself?
