Did you know that the average flush of a urinal consumes nearly three liters of water or one gallon of water every time? What if those three liters were conserved for other purposes? Well a study by Triple Pundit has determined the answer to this question by looking at the possible use of flushless urinals at a campus in San Francisco… and the answers are not surprising. Even if 14 urinals on the campus were replaced with flushless urinals, the campus would achieve savings in both costs and in consumption of water. The key is the flushless urinal which uses special materials that repels urine and also makes cleaning easier than normal urinals.
