Microsoft unveils beta version of MSN Virtual Earth
Microsoft unveiled a beta version of the MSN Virtual Earth service – a service that allows you to search and explore details relating to a particular US location of your interest. This service competes directly with Google Earth although Google currently offers more detailed search options. The site has a cool feature called Location Finder that attempts to find your current location around the country – either via a Wi-Fi location or via your IP address if you don’t have Wi-Fi. You can also save your search results to a scratch pad in case you want to call it up later.
