In an effort to focus on selling PCs, Gateway has deided to stop selling television sets which included plasma and LCD units. At one point, Gateway led the way in selling products other than PC’s. This forced other vendors such as Dell to diversify their product offerings and enter the entertainment market. Unfortunately Gateway has not been able to keep its lead nor keep up with the competition. Gateway has also closed many of its store fronts in its efforts to focus in on PC sales. It seems every few years Gateway tries something new … only to fail shortly afterwards. I wonder how this company survices sometimes.
