HP made news today with a company reorg which will end up cutting 14,500 employees from the payroll. This will result in 1.9 billion dollars of savings a year. Most of the job cuts will occur in the middle management layer. Times have been tough at HP and these cuts are aimed at making the company much more lean and aggressive.
