File this under scary gadgets – there are now modified mobile phones coming out on the market that can act as spying equipment. Leave the phone in a location that you want to have under surveilance, call the phone to activate it, and then listen to all noise coming from the area. There are at least two Nokia phones that have been modified to allow this to happen – the Nokia 6100 and the 3310. Scary stuff folks. I’m sure we will start having phones that can be modified to take pictures automatically send them back to the calling user.
