The Repliee Q1 is a lifelike robot that is being developed by scientists at Osaka University. I first saw this robot in action on a video made available on the net a few weeks back and WOW – this robot does look and act like a human. The Repliee Q1 performs subtle movements – breathing, eye blinking, and spasms that make you think it’s a real human being. I can’t help but start thinking of movies like A.I. and I.Robot. Ugh.
