iHome iH5 Docking Stereo Clock Radio
iLounge.com reviews the iHome iH5 Docking Stereo Clock Radio here. The iH5 is a combination iPod dock, speaker system and AM/FM clock radio. I wouldn’t use this as a portable iPod system but it might make a good bedside system for your iPod. What’s the verdict?
H5 is the first of its breed, and quite close to the best implementation we could imagine for the price. There’s room for improvement, but not much - the mark of our highly recommended, A- rating.

DVD Studio Pro 4 is a jaw-dropping value, offering features that even five-figure DVD-authoring systems can’t match. If you’re setting up your first DVD-authoring system, look no further.

DAPreview is reporting of the possibility that iRiver will be releasing an 8GB model of the U10 PMP device. If it is true, the U10 will probably use a 1 inch micro hard drive thereby increasing the size of the device and also making the unit cost quite a bit more than the current 2GB versions available in Europe. Check out DAPreview for more info.

A First Look into Windows Vista Beta 1
Some of you may not know this but Microsoft released Beta 1 of Windows Vista to MSDN developers a few days ago. Yep - they’re early with the release and if you are an MSDN subscriber you too can get a hold of this beta. I downloaded it myself yesterday and will take it for a test drive in a few days. In the meantime, PC Magazine has also taken the release on a test drive and you can see the preview here. Their assessment?
This version, aimed at developers and IT shops, lacks many features that the final Windows Vista, still over a year away, will have. But it has all the basic foundations of the OS and displays Microsoft’s new emphasis on making a system that will be more stable and secure, as well as giving users greater clarity as regards their files. This “clear vision” is what Microsoft says is reflected in the Vista name.
