The Smart Bath Tub
Make your bathtub experience even better with the SMARTHYDRO. This is apparently the world’s first fully automated bathing system made in Brazil. Connect the tub via a cell phone, internet connection or a PDA and preconfigure your bathing experience. You can tell the tub to start filling water inside of it and keep it at a specific temperature (and do all sorts of other things). Automation baby.

Apple notebook with integrated iPod mini?
Now here’s some interesting news for the day - some investigating sleuths on the net have discovered that Apple has filed for a patent for integrating an iPod mini into a notebook. The pictures shows the iPod mini right in the location that you’d find a typical touch pad. Macsimum News has other theories as to where all this could go - think basic building blocks. What if you could connect togethe blocks that had specific functionalities to produce even more complex systems? Take a cell phone and add an iPod mini, or a laptop + a cell phone to increase functionality. Lots of possibilities

Microsoft to consider licensing the Xbox software?
I4U reports that Microsoft is considering licensing the Xbox 360 software platform to other electronics vendors. I would imagine this pretty much means the OS and the SDK for the OS which could be fairly platform independent depending upon how Microsoft developed the code base. I don’t put it past Microsoft to do such a manuever since at the end of the day, Microsoft is in the business of selling software and not hardware. If they can have Microsoft everywhere in the digital home - they would love it.

New SilverStone cases at C3
XYZComputing has pictures of upcoming computer cases from SilverStone featured at C3. I’ve always enjoyed SilverStone cases since they tend to come out with very high quality aluminum cases as well as HTPC oriented cases. Of particular interest is the LC18 which has a 7 inch LCD panel on the front of the chassis.

Sony HDR-HC1 HDV Camcorder
CamcorderInfo takes a look at the Sony HDR-HC1 High Def Camcorder. This camcorder features:
* Powered by InfoLithium rechargeable battery NP-FM50 (included)
* 1/3-inch CMOS sensor with 3.0-megapixel still-image resolution
* 10x optical zoom lens (digital zoom to 120x) and Super SteadyShot Image Stabilization
* 2.7-inch wide (16:9) Hybrid Touch Panel Swivelscreen LCD; 37mm Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens
* HDV 1080i camcorder features HDV, DV (on a standard MiniDV cassette), and SD recording
What’s the verdict?
If the HDR-HC1 is a sign of the future and subsequent Sony HDV consumer camcorders are made this well, Sony will be able to recapture the passion of serious video consumers which they’ve seemed to have lost in recent years.
