Intel expands its Wi-Fi chip technology
Intel announced a new chip technology on Friday that will integrate all the major wireless network standards into one chipset. The new technology supports 802.11a/b/g as well as the upcoming 802.11n. Intel’s end goal is to have a single chip package support all the wireless standards which will allow for smaller systems as well as less power consumption on mobile devices.
