PC World is reporting that Samsung will be introducing two new mobile phones that offer full QWERTY styled keyboards, one of which will support RIM Blackberry technology. The SGH-D550 is a tri-band GSM/FPRS handset with a 1.3MP camera, TransFlash memory card slot, and support for RIM. The unit has a unique clamshell design which allows the screen to be rotated such that it is adjacent to the keypad. Once the device is on its side, the screen turns from portrait mode into landscape mode. Other specs:
- 176 x 220 262K color screen
- grayscale OLED screen for external display
- MP3 and AAC support

The other model is the SPH-M7000 which uses the Microsoft Windows Mobile OS and will support CDMA2000-1x EV-DO. The SPH-M7000 features:
- 65K color LCD screen
- full QWERTY keyboard
- support for 802.11b networking
- 1.3MP camera
Unfortunately the unit will only be available in South Korea. Bummer.
