MacWorld reviews the new Canon PowerShot SD400 – a 4.5 ounce, 5.0 MP digital camera with a 2inch LCD screen. The SD line of PowerShot cameras have always impressed me because they strike a fine balance between portability and reliability (and quality!) What does MacWorld think of it?

If you can do without manual controls, the PowerShot SD400 takes excellent pictures. If you need more pixels, the 7.1-megapixel PowerShot SD500 has a similar set of features for about $100 more.
