I didn’t get a chance to report on this a few days ago but Shuttle demo’d an Instant On technology for PC’s at Computex 2005 called Always Ready. This allows a system to wake up from suspended state within five seconds – far faster than using Windows’ own stand by mode. The first system to use this Always Ready feature will be the upcoming Shuttle XPC M1000 MCE system.
